Bass Bug : L.C. Snorkle Bug
« on: February 23, 2012, 12:34:32 PM »

I tied this Bass Bug last Summer to fish in the 5 acre pond on me Son's and his fiance's farm. One end of the pond has almost been completely
taken over by Lily pads. When it comes to the Bass Bugs I tie, the more Living Rubber hackle I can tie on the better they seem to do at catching the
"bucketmouths" in my little corner of Southeastern Kentucky. Anywho, like most of my creations, my Son laughed at this critter until he cried when he first
saw it. He didn't nearly laugh as hard when I pulled a 5 lb. 8 oz. bigmouth bass out of the Lily pads with it. While I was trying to get the bass back in the
water after some photos, my rod was gone to the other side of the pond with my Son attached to it. The 4 lb. 6 oz. megamouth bass he caught wasn't as big
as mine, but he sure wasn't laughing when he lipped it either! Now eveyrone in his fiance's family wants me to tie them some of these.
Hmmmmmm.....at about $2 bucks apiece, maybe that wouldn't be such a bad ideer!

Bravo! This looks great! Did you just color in the carapace with sharpie?
